Military toy history

Today, most World War II military toys are produced in Asia in places such as China, Japan, and Korea. The United States manufacture of Military Toys was in its prime in the 1920′s throughout the earlyyears of the 1960′s. Due to an increase of unionization by the American workforce, which increased thehourly pay rate and restricted the amount of time an hourly employee could work during his or her shift, military toys production declined. The Asia military toys market has risen from only 21 percent to 73percent of the total world military toys produced , compared to the United States and other Europeannation combined 27 percent. However, this trend has maintained its current rate for the past 10 yearsand Asia’s dominance over the military toys market is expected to take a downward trend due to theincreasing interest of American companies to retake this market it once dominated.
